Lewis Jackson

Lewis graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2010 with a PhD in chemistry, with a focus on mass spectrometry method development and biomarker discovery. He began his professional career at Alltech Inc. where he developed a method for mycotoxin detection in grains which was developed into a program called the 37+ program, serving farmers and feed distributors throughout the world. Lewis has also gained experience in the clinical, pharmaceutical, and biomarker discovery industries. He possesses extensive experience with LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, and GC-MS method development and method validation with the goal of bringing high levels of sensitivity, accuracy, and sample throughput to the analytical workflow.

Lewis started Delta-9 Laboratory in February of 2019.  His goal was to provide Kentucky farmers and processors with a quality in-state laboratory for third-party testing. Lewis is now 100% focused on the hemp/cbd industry and wants to help drive this burgeoning industry to high standards for potency and purity testing. When not in the lab, Lewis likes to spend time with his wife, two boys, and two dogs hiking, traveling, and learning new things.
